Administration Notice

Hey RPC!
We're still falling. With Rebecca's Hiatus lately, I'm intending on Promotions.....but not for free.

2 more users will get Up-grades based on their active-ness, account age, and other things.
I AM NOT TAKING REQUESTS. PROVE YOURSELF.

If we are falling, I dunno if more moderators and stuff is the best idea. There isn't anybody on anymore, and more staff won't help. You, me and Bex are fine until we gave more people, I think.
Besides, Bex posted on DA saying she will be back soon.

As of now, there's only 6 or 7 active members. And a few that aren't on except for a couple minutes here and there. I don't think that five administrative positions is exactly what we need. It is not exactly like we have a bunch of rowdy people on anyways. Two, maybe three people would be without an administrative position, I don't think it would take five administrators to administrate those few people. I understand that it takes a lot of work to create new layouts, to make sure the site is running properly, and that everyone's needs are met. I just don't think that another two moderators is what this site needs right now.

I agree with Vixen; usually, the amount of staff increases as the number of members does, and I don't think more staff will do anything if there are only a handful of active members. Though if you had a certain idea, then by all means, go for it.
I'm glad Bex is coming back, though; since she's the only admin, we sort of need her here.

I agree with everyone else. Because we're kind of failing as a website, I don't think more moderators is the best idea. I think this because we're failing, meaning we have no members. No members = no need for more administrative positions. As much as I've love to be a moderator (XD), it's not needed right now. I think what's best is to try and get word about our website out. I'll try emailing some people, some of my friends, who like roleplaying and whatnot to see if I can recruit more members. A Facebook page to premote us might be nice, if someone wants to make one. I'll also try again as far as advertising on Gaia and other websites I'm a part of if it helps. (:

Well, I'm already starting about making a Facebook RPC page, making it closed so random people don't start joining and spamming us up. But yeah, I think I have to agree. Also, is there some way to sorta terminate the unused accounts after a specific time, cause it says we have 143 members when we all know that isn't true, and I'm sure half of them are just accounts that are just there. Anywho, I'll try some advertising in places were it won't go and totally be thought that I'm a freak and where there are actually literate people, because apparently they can't help but connect the two.

I felt the need to post because there are a couple of things that need to be brought up.

I'm going to be back, it just all depends on doctors and what-not now. Even though it's not my personal health in question, but my grandmother's, I have no control over anything. I do try and pop on at least once or twice a day to check up on things. I just never post unless I feel the need too or have an extra second. My hiatus isn't that much of one, just more of a 'I can't devote my full time to the website' like I wish I could.

That being said, I appreciate everyone trying to get the word out and what-not. The Facebook page sounds superb, Subby, and Branch, advertising on Gaia would be extremely amazing. I know if we bring in new people now, we might manage to keep a couple, but if new people seem to come onto a dead site, they are less likely too stay.

I'm asking all of us to RP as much as possible to make it look as we've got at least moderate activity. This is a tough time, but RPC's gotten through it's other tough times, and I have faith we can get through this one too.

Again, thanks guys, for being extremely awesome members and helping out, even though I'm not posting, I'm still here. Pfft. Did you really think I'd just leave? xD

I don't have a Facebook, and am not interested in one, so I can't help in that sense, but I MIGHT be able to advertise somewhere else. I'll get the word out and see how it goes.

And Rebecca, sometimes I'm like you; I check on RPC every day, but sometimes I just don't post.

I'm the same way. I'm on every day if I can, but I don't post often because there usually isn't anything to post. I'm waiting for Fang to finish making me this snazzy banner to advertise RPC with and I'll be off to making an advertisement thread on Gaia and whatnot. If Fang says it's okay, I bet we could all use the banner to advertise? Like, have a link embedded so you click on it and it takes you here~

OK, so it turns out that there's no advertising section on the other website that I had in mind, so that's out of the question. I've also invited a real-life friend over before; she never actually joined. I'll remind her about this place, but I can't guarantee that she actually has the free time to be active here, or even join at all. I wish there was more that I could do to spark more interest...
