Storm nodded approvingly, he had a sharp sense of smell to even barely scent it, "Very good," she praised, "she nosed the trail, and led him in the right direction. "Now, what should you do from here?" she questioned him.

Shattered paused, trying to scent the wind to get a better idea. He stepped forward. "I think this one is an early bird. There are probably other bits of prey scattered around, but this is the nearest one." he set his jaw, clenching it. "We should go after it," he yipped.

Storm nodded approvingly, again titling her ears to show that he should lead. If he was to be a hunter he couldn't rely on others to do his dirty work. Thoug, she was only pushing him because she thought he had it in him, and besides even If he llead the pair astray, Storm would make sure to correct him.

Shattered was a bit uneasy that Storm was letting him command, but was determined not to show it. He carefully picked his way through the brush, setting light footsteps across the ground to make sure he didn't embarress himself in front of a respectable wolf like this. Shattered soon gained confidence, now fully concentration on the task at hand.

Storm silently nodded, he was a very quiet hunter, and she respected that, he was also going the right way which was another accomplishment for him. She scented the ground as they went, making sure they stayed on track.

Lifting his head, he tried to pinpoint the prey. It was close by, and soon would be within eyesight.
He twisted around a few more trees. There!

Do you want to go after it? he signaled, flicking his tail at the prey.

Storm decided that he deserved a demonstration, and lowered herself silently to the ground. She moved forward inch by inch until she was only a leap away. She tensed her back musceles, and leaped onto the rabbit. She pinned it down with her weight, and though it struggled vailiantly, their fight ended with her jaws around its neck.

Shattered pricked his ears, impressed. He lifted his snout, trying to scent another piece of prey. Luckily, the rabbit had struggled relatively soundlessly, so the nearby prey would not be alerted. The closest bit of prey was a particularly weighty pigeon within hearing range, attempting to fly off with a heavy load of nuts in it's belly to a safer, nearby tree. It did not seemed to have noticed the upwind pair of wolves.
