Private RP for Jake and Becca

Long Island, New York 2:00 pm, Saturday May 29^th:
“Fay! What are you talking about? Monsters…?” I dug my feet into the ground at the base of a tall hill. At the top, a tree with a sparkling coat hanging on a branch was guarded by a huge golden dragon.
The girl turned to me and sighed, “Lilliana, I am a Dryad, I’ve tried to tell you before, but you just wouldn’t listen.” She swiveled again and her eyes widened, “Glade Underwood! Look at what is following you!”
I turned to see a boy, that looked fairly normal, but his bottom half was shaggy and instead of feet there were goat hoofs. “Holy…” I whispered, then spotted the boy he was frantically dragging towards Fay and I. Behind the pair was a dog that sent shivers up and down my spine. Its mouth foamed, dripping saliva that seemed to melt the grass it touched.
Something about it was familiar, and I remembered being taught in Mythology one year about hellhounds… But this was crazy. “What is that thing!” I shouted at Fay, backing up against the base of the hill.
“Run! Up the hill! Hurry, past the tree. Lydon will take care of the hound!” The Satyr shouted, pushing the boy up the hill.
Fay grabbed my shoulders and forcefully shoved me with the boy as she and the Satyr followed. Tumbling up the hill beside the other boy, I slide on a patch of wet grass, but something shoved me up the hill again, before I heard barking and braying behind us.
“Fire!” I group of people shouted at the top of the hill. Arrows rained down on the dog and it vanished into ash. Collapsing on the top of the hill, away from the tree, I glanced down the opposite side, only to see a amphitheater and a glittering lake near strawberry patches.
“Welcome to Camp-Half Blood.” Fay muttered looking straight at me and the boy.

Tall and average with Dark Brown hair (From her mother), her eyes are a bright blue that can sometimes appear green or even topaz in the right light. Lilliana has a mischievous smirk that often lets her get along with the Hermes crowd, but she is very athletically built, and doesn’t have elfish features. She’s athletic, but deathly afraid of getting hurt because she hates needles.
Lilliana will obtain a set of gold and silver bow and arrows from her father and Aunt Artemis. Artemis will also give her a dagger that has its name, Striker, engraved on it in Ancient Greek.
Apollo, this means she is a good singer, can play the flute, has acute hunting and fighting abilities, but is a horrible poet.
Lilliana hates blood and hospitals, and isn’t very good with medicine for being a Daughter of Apollo.

My vision was blurred as my eyes opened. My whole body ached as if a bull dozer had run straight over me. I sat up wincing in pain every time I moved quicker then an inch every few seconds. As my vision gained to be like it used to be before, the giant black rabid dog tackled me like I was a squeaky toy. I saw that I was in a room with a group of beds. There were a few sleeping bodies in the other beds. I rubbed my head, my first thought was that I was at some hospital meant for minors but, I saw multiple... creatures. I saw a human with furry goat legs. Those meds really have some serious side effects... I thought, and then I saw Ben. My best friend Ben, with the weird leg disorder that got him out of P.E. class. When he saw that I was awake he hurried over to my bedside table and held a glass of liquid up to my mouth. I was expecting water, but I got blasted with the taste of my Mom's homemade chocolate cake. I quickly downed it. I immediately felt a lot better. Before I could polish off the last few drinks, Ben took it away from me.
"Whoa, Dude. Slow down. Anymore of that and you might just burn up." He said, in a slight quivered chuckle. I thought I must have misunderstood him with the whole 'burning up' thing.
"Where are we? St. John's?" I asked, rubbing my arms so they'd wake up from staying still for who know's how long.
Ben just shook his head; "No... We're at the camp that your Mom had always been talking about sending you to."
I shook my head, and tried to take it all in, when I saw his legs. They were just like a goat's.

(I hope you don't mind that I changed the name of the satyr. It was to much like Blake's name.)

(Doesn't matter to me. xD, I just slapped something down.)

My head was killing me. I felt like I had just been whack-a-moled at a Chuckie Cheese. Groaning, I slowly peeled open my eyes. Sterile was the first thing I smelt, and that's when I started freaking out. Glancing around frantically, memories rushed back to me, my friend Fay telling me she was some sort of mythical creature, a rabid black dog, a dragon, arrows. A small sound escaped my lips in the form of a whimper as I surveyed the room. It was a hospital like setting and I already hated it.
Suddenly, I spotted Fay right as she came rushing over to me, "Here, why don't you drink some of this..." She moved to hand me a glass, but I swatteded it away.
"No way! What did you do to me? Drug me?" Hysteria was evident in my voice as I looked around frantically for an escape, that's when I saw the goat-boy again. "Oh my gosh, I've gone mental!"
Fay shushed me and pushed me back down on the cot, "Calm down, Lilliana... Everything's alright. You just fainted after the hellhound incident..."
Gulping I remebered Fay's excuse for wanting me to come with her to some camp for the summer, 'It will be good for you sweetie...' I recalled my mother saying to me as I packed my bags with Fay.
Glancing around the room again, I caught a glimpse of a familier boy on a cot nearby and cringed. "What's happening? Fay explain, Now." I growled, staring down the girl.
She frowned, "Maybe Chiron should talk to you."

I think Ben noticed me looking at his furry goat legs. "Yeah. A satyr." He said and got up from his chair. "I'll be right back, I'm going to go get Chiron..." He walked across the hospital/infirmary/morgue place and exited. I looked over to my left and saw a girl arguing with another girl*. I shook my head and laid it back down on the pillow. After a few minutes he returned with what looked like one of those centaur's from the greek myths. Now that I thought about it, satyr's were also from the greek myths. I shook my head. This was all a dream. Chiron, the centaur galloped over to where my bed was.

My jaw dropped as I watched goat-boy come back into the infirmary with a horse, except the horse had the head of a human on it with the torso, including arms. "F-Fay..." I muttered, "Why do I see a horse-man-thing near me?"
The Centaur (I had put two and two together to make four) turned to me and frowned, "I am most certainly not a horse-man-thing, Ms. Blaze. I would hope that you would respect my kin and I for what we really are. Centaurs."
"Okay..." Was all I could reply with, marveling at the weird things that were happening around me, they must have injected me with some pretty strong drugs for me to go this loopy.

I watched as the centaur-thing talked to the girl. Once he was done, I spoke. "It looks like I'm not the only one seeing things." I stated, smiling lightly.
The centaur turned his torso (which looked really weird) and spoke to me. "No, Mr. Denton you're not seeing things." He said in a voice that sounded strangely familiar. When he galloped over to me, a recognized it. He was the homeless guy who sat on the corner of my block, in the wheel chair. I had given a couple quarters to him once or twice. He was now wearing a nicer tweed jacket. I laughed lightly, at myself. "Um... Mr. Centaur-person-thing... are you the same guy who sits on the corner of 31st and Jackson? I asked, repositioning myself in the fold able bed.
"Yes. I am the homeless guy. Just I'm not homeless. I was watching over you. You're both half-bloods, demigods." He looked at the girl and then back at me. Those words still rang in my head to this date. That was the starting of my life as a demigod.

My head spun and I managed a faint, "Wow", before running through every mythological story I had ever learned about. Whipping my head around to face the Centaur, I questioned, "Like the spawn of a human and a god?" Not even letting him answer, I asked, "This can't be real. Those are stories. This. Isn't. Logical."
The Centaur looked at me and sighed, "Ms. Blaze, you are the daughter of one of the gods, as is Mr. Denton here. This is Camp Half-Blood, a camp where you both can train with others to fight monsters that might want to kill you."
"That's cheery," I muttered sarcastically and then finished it off with, "Life has been confusing/ But being a Demigod/ Makes it even worse."

I was soon released from the sterile prison and Fay took me on a tour of the camp. Along the way, I met more campers and got to see a lot of the places I would train. Since it was Sunday (I had been out all night) there would be a larger meal tonight to honour all the other camper's parents. Fay introduced me to her tree, which was a very pretty maple.
While I was taking a tour of the Archery Range, I got to meet a group of expiranced archers, namely the group that killed the hound that was trying to kill us. They were a mix of parents and I didn't really get to talk to them much before Fay took me to the Hermes cabin while explaining I would have to wait until supper to be claimed most likely.

Once I was released from the 'morgue' Ben explained more about being a half-blood. And only the gods knew who my real parent was so, for the mean while I was being left in the Hermes cabin with a bunch of little tricksters. He showed me the fighting arena which strangely interested me, and he even let me give a try at archery, but I nearly shot the head off a wood nymph who was about 10 feet away. Ben then showed me to my cabin, where within' a few minutes my sweatshirt had been stolen and then tied in some complicated knot. Maybe, my luck would turn at dinner time and my Dad might reveal who he was.

I guarded my things with my life in the Hermes cabin. Mostly everyone was really nice to me, and a couple of them even said that I could be related to them, but I didn't see it. For one thing, I didn't have blonde hair or their elvish features. My suitcase had a complicated lock on it that I made sure couldn't be broken into before I left with everyone else to go to supper. Spotting the boy I had seen yesturday and in the hospital, I stopped him and smiled lightly, "Hey, you're new also, right?" Glancing at the group slowly getting ahead of us, I looked back at the boy, he definitly wasn't a Hermes either, but I maybe could see a little Demeter in him.

The girl from the infirmary came up and asked me if I was new also. I nodded lightly. She looked nothing like a Hermes child so she obviously hadn't been claimed either. I finally finished untying my sweatshirt. I laid it down in my bag. I quickly shoved it under a pile of blankets, so it wouldn't be so obvious, to steal from. "Who do you think your Godly parent is?" I asked standing up and looking at the girl

"Not sure," I replied before looking at the empty door, "Oh No! Come on!" I grabbed the boys arm and headed towards the door, "By the way, I'm Lilli." Releasing him, I ran forward and barely caught up with the group before we entered the dining hall and sat down at a table that was a little too small for the entire group. A coupld people glanced at me from the opposite end of the table, but no one said anything until the horse-man stomped a hoof and announced, "Hello all, and welcome to another Sunday night dinner." There were cheers from around the hall, "Some of you may have noticed a coupld new campers. I won't name them aloud, but I'm sure they will be claimed and with their family soon!"
As if on cue, a booming voice shouted, "I HAVE DECIDED/ TO CLAIM MY SPAWN LILLIANA/ BECAUSE SHE ROCKS."
Heads turned in my direction, maybe because I was the only new face some had noticed, maybe because a man emerged with sandy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a tank top, jeans, and tennis shoes on and pointed to me. Suddenly, he grinned and waved, "Hello, you should move tables, it's not cool that you're sitting with your cousins."
I sat there flabbergasted until someone pushed me up, and the Centaur said, "Apollo, this is a surprise."
A man at the front table who looked like a drunk rolled his eyes, "Please, can you quit interupting our dinners, Apollo, with your horrible poetly. Zeus hopes your children will not inherite that trait."

I clapped along with everybody else. Even though I felt kinda awkward their, sitting with a bunch of claimed people. And then the one person who actually wasn't claimed was claimed. I looked along the tables to see which group of people I looked most like. In three of the tables, only a few people were sitting at them. The Big Three... I thought. Even though the Big Three's promise wasn't anymore, they still didn't have nearly as many kids as the other cabins. I sorta looked like a son of Poseidon or Demeter, I guess I just had to wait to find out.

I was pulled down to a bench with a few other campers that kind of looked like me, except most of them had dirty or sandy blonde hair. A girl smiled at me and motioned to Apollo who was walking away, muttering to himself, "This is cool! We haven't had a new sister in a while." She motioned to herself, "I'm Karlie, Leader of the Apollo Cabin. We'll have to get your things from Hermes after supper." She turned to a boy who looked identical to his- I mean our father, "Did I miss anything that can't be explained tomorrow, Fred?"
The guy nodded, "You'll have to help us with the campfire tonight, but son't worry, the songs are pretty easy."
I nodded, soaking it all in, this was real, I had been claimed, like everyone else, except for the boy yesturday. Glancing back at him at the Hermes table, I watched as he looked at the Big Three tables. He kind of looked like the ones at Posidon's table a bit, but something about that seemed wrong, he didn't exactly remind me of the water-type.
"So, Lilliana is it?" Someone said from across from me.
I turned and nodded, "Yeah."
From the front table, the man who reminded me of the Wine god rose and raised his diet coke can, "Give some food to my whiny family, and then eat." Lightning and thunder sounded from the darkening sky and I jumped and looked up. The man just rolled his eyes and growled, "Sorry."

(I'm at a loss for words.)

As soon as dinner was over, everybody got up, brought their plates and walked towards the large fireplace that was giving heat to the area. I noticed that the engravings were in what looked like Greek. Ben had told me about being able to read it, and strangely enough it was easier then english. The names of all the Olympians were engraved around the base. I saw people shoving food into the fireplace. But only a few pieces. I leaned and asked the camp counselor from the Hermes cabin, who I actually seemed to get along with; about the whole food disposal. He explained to me that it was an offering to our godly parent. After a few minutes it was my turn. I had a ripe strawberry and a thick slice of barbecue still on my plate. I shoved it off, and thanked Hermes for letting me stay in his cabin for the time being. And thanked my parent for helping me live through my first day as a half-blood.

I gave my father a brownie that I wanted to steal for myself at the end of the meal and a giant ripe strawberry. Karlie and Fred told me I could go get my suitcase from the Hermes cabin as everyone filled out of the dining hall. Nodding at the both of them, I hurried off towards the cabin behind some of the Hermes campers that were already heading back. Looking at some of them, I noticed a few that had greeted me earlier, but I was really looking for unclaimed guy. Sighing, I entered the cabin behind someone and went to get my suitcase. Grabbing the handle, I lifted it up and turned to make my way out of the messy place.
I was sort of glad I had been claimed quickly, I don't know if I could have slept with a bunch of people I didn't know, at least in Apollo's cabin there would be people that knew our dad, that wasn't as awkward. Exiting the cabin, I looked around before spotting one that screamed me. It was large and red, with a lyre above the door. Leaving my bag right on the inside, I raced back towards the dining hall before Fay intercepted me. "Hey!"
I smiled at her, "Hey, can you show me the campfire?"
Fay nodded and then frowned, "Something's different about you? Did you get claimed?" Her eyes brightened as I nodded and told her.
She squealed and led me over to a grouping of logs where everyone was sitting with various people, mixing parents, campers, stayrs, and dryads. I took a seat with Fay, who was sitting beside the stayr that I had seen Saturday who lead the hellhound towards the hill.

After everyone had filed out of the mess hall, I managed to find Ben waiting for me. He lead me over to the large fire pit where I could see the Apollo cabin nearest to the fire. I saw Lilliana's face, in a nervous expression. I chuckled to myself lightly. In a way I was really jealous of everyone there. They all knew who their parents were, and they had a sense of belonging. I just felt like the kid in school who always sits in the corner.
The songs that the Apollo cabin sung and played were nothing I recognized. They were obviously ancient because there was no normal camp songs. After a skit from the Athena cabin, we all headed to bed. Once my head it the pillow I quickly fell into a deep sleep

(Thank you for time-skipping. xD I was bored.)

The campfire apparently reacted to the camper's moods, and tonight it was high and bright. There was a girl tending to the flames, and I wondered who she was, but I never got a chance to ask Fay because soon my half-brothers and sisters were helping me learn the lyrics to songs like, This land is Minos land, and others. There was a skit done by the Athena cabin that was entertaining, and then I headed back to my cabin with the rest. Karlie assigned me a bed at the back of the cabin, near a window that looked straight at Zeus and Hera's cabins. Laying down on my top bunk, I curled up under the covers and glanced at the cabins, seeing a flash of lightning before falling asleep.

(Oh, points to you if you figure out why I named one of Apollo's sons, Fred. xD)

(Uh... I don't know why...)

I was in the middle of a gigantic circular room. There were 12 gigantic chairs with symbols on each of them. My first thought was; Olympus. I walked forward to the farthest-most chair, it had a golden lightning bolt set into it. My footsteps echoed as I walked. As I was about to touch the lightning bolt. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I twirled around and I saw a middle-aged man in a dark pinstripe suit. "Who are you?" I asked demandingly. He looked angry for a brief second and then he calmed down.
"I'm your father." He said softly. I was sorta shocked at that news. But, for all I knew, he could be any of the male gods except for Apollo (because, I obviously now know who he looks like.)
"Oh. Er- Who are you...?" I asked questioningly. The man just shook his head and took a little eagle statue out of his pocket and handed it to me. It looked like a paperweight. I took it from him and looked at it.
"What in the world does this do?" I asked, like he was crazy. He smiled and told me to twist the head. I shrugged and followed the instructions. Normally if I wasn't in a dream, I think I would of yelled in a surprise, but I was. The eagle paperweight became a celestial bronze sword with a silver hilt. On it was a golden lightning bolt.

I woke up with the warm summer sun shining on my face. Once I had gathered my senses I heard multiple people talking. I sat up, and looked at my hands for a few seconds before getting up. I got dressed, and on my way out to breakfast where everyone was heading. I accidentally kicked my pillow, as I was trying to get my shoes on. When I bent down to put my pillow back, I saw the same eagle paperweight from my dream. I picked it up and turned the head. Luckily no one was in the cabin. The eagle did the exact same sword as in my dream. I was soon clutching a sword, as if I was ready to hurt somebody. I tried making it turn back into the bird statue. I fiddled with it for at least 10 minutes. I finally started trying random things. I put my hand on the lightning engraving and muttered my name. It sounded like the most foolish of things but, it actually worked. Before I knew it the same metallic eagle paperweight was in my hand.

(Sigh, you fail as a Percy Jackson fan. xD, In The Titan's Curse, when Percy, Thalia, Grover, Bianca, and Zoë need to get somewhere, Apollo appears as a hobo named Fred. xD)

I rolled over in my bed, groaning as someone shook my shoulders. "Lilliana!" I shot up in the bunk, narrowly missing decapitating myself on the low ceiling. Glancing over at the culprit standing on the ladder, I groaned, "Mhm."
"It's time for breakfast, get up." Fred muttered leaping down and going to wake up someone else.
I rubbed my forehead and slid out of my bed and got dressed. Stumbling out of the cabin, I tied my hair back into a ponytail and fixed the Camp Half-Blood shirt someone had given me. The Apollo cabin all walked together towards the Dining hall. It looked like some of the Hermes were late risers because they still stumbled out of the older cabin. Either that or the cabin was endless because it seemed like Hermes didn't have enough messenger work to do.

(Yeah I do. But I haven't read that book in forever. xD)
(Also about the whole eagle again, because I don't think it ever really explained how Riptide went back to being pen form... )

I was the last one out of our cabin. And the last one to the Mess Hall. By the time I got there Chiron had already started his morning speech. I slid in the seat on the far end of the Hermes table. I felt the eagle statue in my pocket. I pulled it out, and fiddled with it. Making sure that I didn't twist the head. I looked up at Chiron as he finished. I decided I was going to go show it to him after breakfast. The food was soon on the table. No surprise. It wasn't pancakes and syrup. It was sausage and strawberries. The breakfast of champions.

After breakfast was done and over, everyone cleared out of the room. I stood by the entrance, one of the last ones out was Chiron. He stopped when he realized I was trying to get his attention.
"What do you need Blake?" He asked me, walking towards me.
"I-I had a dream last night." I said, awkwardly. He gave me a look as if I was approaching death.
"What happened in it?" I explained to him what happened, and then that I had found the same statue under my pillow.
"Do you have it with you?" He asked. I nodded and gave it to him. Chiron twisted the head, and sure enough a sword was in his hands. He examined it. He shook his head in amazement.
"What?" I asked questioningly.
"Your Dad must really like you."
"Wait, who's my Dad?!" I asked urgently.
"Zeus."

(Ripetide? Sweetness!)

At the end of breakfast, Karlie told me that the first thing on the Apollo cabin's agenda was to clean the cabin. We all filed back to the cabin and I made my top bunk and shoved my suitcase underneith the bottom bunk, which no one had claimed. On my way with a couple of my new half-brothers and sisters to the archery range, I saw the boy from Hermes and Chiron talking to each other outside of the breakfast hall. Stopping for a split second, I watched Chiron fiddle with a bronze sword in his hand before it turned into a small statue.
Tony, one of my half-brothers, prodded my arm, "Lilliana!"
I turned, "Sorry, right, uh, where's the archery range?"
He rolled his eyes and led me off towards a field with targets lined up a long way away from the starting point. Glancing backwards, I glimpsed the boy walking away with Chiron, talking avidly with him.

(Huh?)

I looked at him as if he was crazy. Me? The son of Zeus?! I was typically the one being picked on by Bully Bob and Nasty Nancy. Chiron smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Blake. Zeus. King of all the Olympians. As far as we know, you only have one more half-blood half-brother." He said in a matter-of-fact voice.
I just shook my head in shock. "I saw a word inscribed into the sword... What does it say?" I asked as we walked up the hill to the tall old farm house.
"BronzeWing." Chiron said shrugging lightly. "It looks like it was made from the Cyclops forges. Down in the Atlantic Ocean. He said, and before I could answer, he spoke up again. "You probably should go move your bags into your new cabin.

(Up there ^, you said 'Riptide', but I think It was a typo now. xD)

"Today," Karlie said, her hair pulled back into a tight pony tail on the top of her head, "The Apollo cabin will be training with the Zeus cabin for Capture the flag on Friday." She cleared her throat angrily, "As you all know, Athena and Ares once again are both in possesion of each of the flags. Athena has offereded to have an alliance with us." Karlie motioned to the stacks of bows and quivers full of arrows behind her, "Grab a bow, and a set of arrows. We're training until lunch."
There was a mad rush to the bows, and I held back until there were only a few left. None of them seemed to fit me well, but I grabbed one and shrugged it on my shoulder before grabbing a quiver.
Lining up with my cabin, I glanced at the lone boy from Zeus' cabin, he looked lonley. I frowned but got into position to shoot my arrow, I hadn't done it in a few years since my mother had sent me to a camp and I accidently killed the camp mascot, a bird. My arrow had gone through the bars.
I hadn't been aiming for it, but they had refused to take me back after that, I guess that's what you got for being a demigod. I headed back to the cabin area, trying to straighten out everything Chiron had told me. I headed towards the Hermes cabin and gathered up my bag. I quickly exited, thanking the gods that I didn't have to sleep in that crowded place ever again. I closed the white door behind me, and headed towards the large, white marble cabin at the top of the clearing. I opened the clear, French doors. The floor was a speckled, marble. Like the type on Olympus. There were a few beds on the main floor. Along with a wooden fire place, with carvings of famous battles surrounding it. After setting my bags down next to the bed, I checked the schedule posted on the wall. In messy handwriting was; Capture the Flag practice w/ Apollo cabin. At Archery Range
Oh yay. Archery. Was my first thought. I sighed, and found a note on the wall next to the schedule. It was white and had the same handwriting;

Hey Blake,
I heard from Chiron that you had been claimed as a Son of Zeus. Since you're new, I doubt you have a pair of armor. Look in the closet to the left of the beds. You'll see a few pairs. Try 'em on. One's bound to fit you.

I took the note down and tossed it in the trashcan next to the door. I walked over to the closet that Jay had refrenced to. I opened it up, and found a few pairs of armor hanging up. I grabbed one that seemed to fit. I finally figured out how to get it on, and it fit perfectly.
I hurried over towards the Archery range which was only a little bit away from the cabins. Sure enough, I saw the Apollo cabin all aiming their arrows at the targets down the range. While a single boy who looked about my age sat on the side and watched them.
